Getting started
ForeverAfter.life is an online memorial platform that helps families and friends create lasting, beautiful tributes for those they've lost. Each memorial is a private or public space where loved ones can share photos, stories, and memories — and light a virtual candle to show they're thinking of someone.
Memorials are permanent, thoughtfully designed, and accessible from any device — a place that endures long after the funeral.
For public memorials, no account is needed — anyone with the link can view, read tributes, and light a candle. For private or unlisted memorials, you'll need to be signed in and invited as a contributor.
To create a memorial, leave a tribute, or manage an existing memorial, you'll need a free account.
Yes — creating an account and a basic memorial is free. The free plan includes:
- One memorial with a portrait, dates and a heartfelt epitaph
- Unlimited tributes and candle lighting
- Public or unlisted visibility
Paid plans unlock the life story, timeline and family sections, the photo gallery (up to 15 photos), a custom link, password-protected privacy, and priority support. See Billing & plan for details.
You choose the visibility when creating a memorial, and you can change it any time:
- Public — findable via search and open to anyone
- Unlisted — only accessible to people who have the direct link
- Private — visible only to you and invited contributors
Yes. Anyone can leave a tribute or light a candle on a public memorial without needing an invitation. To help build a memorial — adding photos, editing details, or managing it — the owner needs to invite you as a contributor.
Creating & editing memorials
From your dashboard, click Create a memorial. You'll be guided through a short setup: name, dates, a photo, and a brief description. Once published, you can continue adding details, photos, and tributes at any time.
Very little. All you need is the person's full name and dates — everything else (location, portrait, epitaph — and on paid plans the biography, timeline and family) is optional and can be added or edited later.
The photo gallery is part of the paid plans, which include up to 15 photos per memorial (every plan includes the portrait). Each file should be a JPG, PNG or WebP image under 5 MB.
Yes, at any time. In the memorial's Edit view, open the Privacy panel and change the visibility to Public, Unlisted, or Private. The change takes effect immediately.
Only the memorial's owner can delete it. In the Edit view, open the memorial's menu and choose Delete. You'll be asked to confirm. This is permanent — all photos, tributes, and candles are removed and cannot be recovered.
If you'd like to hide the memorial without deleting it, unpublishing it is the gentler option.
Billing & plans
Plans are chosen per memorial: a Free tier (one per account), and one-time paid Pet Tribute, Tribute and Family tiers that unlock a custom link and more. Visit Billing & plan to compare and upgrade.
Your memorials remain live and fully accessible. Tributes, candles, and all other content are preserved in full. Nothing is deleted without an explicit action from you.
Your receipts and payment history live under Billing & plan. If you need help with a charge, send us a message and we'll sort it out.
