Biography

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of Star.

On May.3, 2023 at around 11:30am, with John and I by her side, Star took her last breaths while snuggled cozy in her bed in the safety and comfort of our home by her favourite window on the couch.

Star's final days consisted of all her favourite things, including sunbathing, exploring the backyard and porch, having all kinds of cuddles and massages, and of course, eating all her favourite treats. This included chicken, bacon, and quite randomly, pieces of banana muffin.

Anyone who came into our home would have been greeted by this feisty little girl. She had an adorable way of imposing on your personal space, and her loud meows, although annoying at times, were so endearing.

On March. 23, 2023 a tumor was discovered growing in Star’s mouth and we were told she would have about 1-2 months left. The entire time she was declining she never lost her spirit and was a massive comfort to John and me as we navigated the loss of our beloved Milo, who passed away on March.22, 2023.

I am so blessed to have had Star in my life. Although I only knew her for 3 and a half years, she gave me a lifetime of love. She became my other little girl, and I deeply cared for her as if she was mine from the start. John lost a constant companion of over 15 years; she was with him through many life changes, and she holds a special place in his heart.

Star passed away exactly six weeks to the day that we lost Milo. It is heart breaking to experience these losses so close together, however, John and I take comfort in knowing our sweet sassy girl can be reunited with her pal in the afterlife. Our two babies are now at rest and are together again and we miss them both so much.
