Epitaph

Dilano van 't Hoff, a shining star of the racetrack whose light was extinguished far too soon. A champion, a fighter, and a beacon of determination, his spirit will forever roar on the tracks he loved. In life, he raced against time.

Biography

Dilano van 't Hoff, born on July 26, 2004, in Dordrecht, Netherlands, was a promising Dutch racing driver who left an indelible mark on the world of motor racing in his short, but significant career. His passion for speed and precision was evident from an early age, starting his international karting career at eleven. He excelled in various karting competitions, notably finishing third in the IAME Euro Series and IAME International Final in 2018, and winning the Trofeo delle Industrie with Forza Racing the following year.

Dilano made his single-seater debut in the Formula 4 UAE Championship with Xcel Motorsport in 2021. Despite a shaky start, he showcased his resilience by finishing second in his debut race and went on to win the subsequent two races. However, he narrowly missed the championship title by one point, coming in second after a thrilling season.

The same year, he joined MP Motorsport in the F4 Spanish Championship, a move that led him to his first major title. He demonstrated his prowess with a series of impressive performances, including a hat trick of poles and race wins, culminating in winning the championship.

In September 2021, Dilano made his debut in the Formula Regional European Championship as a guest driver for MP Motorsport and continued in the championship for the full season in 2022 and 2023.

Tragically, his life and career were cut short when he died in a Formula Regional European Championship race in heavy rain at Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium on July 1, 2023.
